Internationale Kooperationen

Various regions in the world do not have a sufficient drinking water supply or a waste water disposal. To find the right solutions for them is one of the most important topics of our society.

The sewage plant in Dresden-Kaditz is a destination for many national and international guests, who are particularly interested in our technical and commercial know-how. Especially our PPP-model, the cooperation between the Stadtentwässerung Dresden GmbH and our partner the Gelsenwasser AG, arouse interest.

Exemplary here are 3 projects which show the increasing demand for our expertise.

The first project resulted from the town twinning between Lemberg Breslau and Dresden. The main concern was the infrastructure and the waste water treatment in Lemberg. This exchange of experiences entailed that colleagues of the Stadtenwässerung Dresden GmbH visited Lemberg and vice versa.

For the second project it must be considered that the watershed in Lemberg runs in the direction to the Baltic Sea. Therefore the Federal Environment Ministry grants a basic concept for the sewage disposal around Lemberg on current conditions.

Within this project there was an active exchange of experiences between the relevant colleagues in January and March 2007 with the aim of connecting both projects and to use the subsidies efficiently.

The third project is the qualification of young executives from the Ukraine. This project is sponsored by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU). The topics of this 4-week further training are especially waste water disposal and water supply.
